Does Purina donate damaged or out-of-date product to animal welfare organizations?Damaged or out-of-date products are ineligible for donation because their quality and safety can no longer be guaranteed. Do any Purina brands donate free products or promotional items?While many opportunities are worthy of consideration, the items we provide are for pre-established marketing or branded promotional programs. Products and promotional items are targeted for these specific events, and we do not keep inventory for individual requests. Does Purina grant charitable requests to individuals?In order to disperse our resources in the most effective manner, Purina only supports established non-profit organizations. Does Purina grant charitable requests for support dog organizations or police K-9 units?In general, Purina charitable giving supports established animal welfare organizations. However, we acknowledge the benefit that support dog and police K-9 organizations bring to communities and will consider support for them on a limited basis in the Greater St. Louis* area or in areas where we operate manufacturing facilities**. Does Purina provide individual educational scholarships?Purina is unable to provide educational scholarships to individuals. Does Purina distribute educational materials for young children?The Purina "Caring For Pets" coloring book is available on our site in PDF format. This book has been developed to help young children understand the importance of responsible pet ownership. Can I and/or my pet be in Purina advertisements?Purina employs professional advertising agencies that work with talent agencies and animal trainers to choose the people and pets used in our advertisements. We do not solicit individuals. If you wish for you and/or your pet to appear in our advertising, it is best to connect with a talent agency or animal trainer in your area. What does Purina do to help pets in times of natural disasters?When floods, fire and ice take their toll on four-legged victims, Purina responds with donations of Purina® brand dog and cat foods and Tidy Cats® brand litter. In a major disaster, our likely first response is to partner with a nationally recognized rescue agency. This information will be posted on Purina.com. If your animal welfare organization has been impacted by a natural disaster or emergency and the information on our site does not pertain to your area, you may submit a donation request. How do I submit a military request?We frequently receive requests from military personnel and their families for assistance with a pet who has been rescued in the Middle East or a pet who has been abandoned because a caretaker was stationed overseas.
